MC5 - Teen Age Lust (LP)

The existence of an early board tape captures the MC5 in all their rocking glory, recorded live at the Saginaw Civic Center, January 1st, 1970. This show falls in between the two studio releases for Atlantic (Back in the U.S.A. and High Time), finding the band restyling themselves for mass consumption while remaining a very potent force as a live act. The set list reflects this, combining tunes from their live album ("Ramblin' Rose," "Rama Lama Fa Fa Fa," and a medley of "Starship" and "Kick Out the Jams") with harder takes of songs from Back in the U.S.A. than what appear on the studio release.
