Dikta ‎– Get It Together CD

€7.50

DIKTA, from Iceland, have been together since 1999 and play a pleasant, often very quiet indie rock. "Get It Together" is their third album and, in my opinion, their best.

The 12 tracks feature a very varied indie sound, ranging from upbeat to calm. The opener, "Warnings," starts off quite fast and demonstrates the true joy of playing of the four Icelanders. "Start To Finish" is in no way inferior. "Let Go" and "The Story Of Roscoe Gray" also impressively demonstrate how versatile this band can play. The quieter pieces, like "Final Call," "Lost In The Light," and the beautiful "Goodbye," trickle slowly through your ear canals and simply create a good feeling. "Get It Together" is an all-around very successful indie album, very varied and easy to listen to from start to finish. It's not easy to name comparable bands, but sometimes Dikta reminds me of ATHLETE, DEATH CAB FOR CUTIE, and you can also sometimes hear BROKEN BELLS.
