Steve Wynn ‎– Pick Of The Litter CD

The former DREAM SYNDICATE frontman is and remains one of the truly consistent figures in the American singer/songwriter scene, as this new mail-order-only record more than clearly demonstrates. It features previously unreleased songs, some of which date back to Wynn's collaboration with COME. I don't know how the man does it, but even though these are essentially outtakes from older sessions from 1995-98, "Pick Of The Litter" sounds almost leagues better than his last current studio album. A remarkably harmonious mix of heavy rock songs and gentle, acoustic ballads, featuring Wynn's unerring instinct for wonderful, catchy melodies. One of those records you really can't go wrong with!
