The Skidmarks – Till The Last One's Gone CD
The Amsterdam band The Skidmarks delivers their second album with Till The Last One's Gone. In 2002 there was already the critically acclaimed debut Come And Get It. In 2001 the band was awarded the title 'Best Live Act' during the final of the Grote Prijs van Nederland. There was a lot of touring at home and abroad and the band performed at Lowlands in 2002. The garage punk of The Skidmarks can best be compared to The Stooges, The Sonics and The Remains. Till The Last One's Gone also rattles old-fashioned. The organ in particular has a prominent place in almost every song, which makes the band extra recognizable, since other bands from this genre usually choose the standard guitar line-up. Those who search well will even find a ballad. The song Liquor Shot is a pleasant resting point, in the midst of all the up-tempo punk.
