The sound and songwriting is more balanced than in latter album "Killing Angels" of 2003. Tight bass sound is more prominent, guitars as well, and drumming mostly stays below the line of irritation. Songs got versatility and humour, there is even some very nice vocal harmonies, and the train keeps a-rolling. If labled as heavy metal, this still has got a lot of rock and roll in it, even nice punkish feeling (like in "Killing Time") from time tot time, only layered by brawling vocals.
