Noa ‎– Now CD

€4.95

The Israeli artist studies singing and composition within the Rimon School of Contemporary Music, starting parallel to collaborate with Gil Dor, the most famous Israeli guitarist who had met Metheny years ago at the Berklee School of Music in Boston. At the beginning of '91 Noa was invited to give a concert to the Tel Aviv Jazz Festival by recording Achinoam Nini & Gil Dor which becomes gold disc in Israel, consolidating its popularity with a Hebrew Songs collection expressed in ancient language that only in presale exceeds every record of the national business. The following year, during a visit to the relatives who remained in New York, he leaves a message to Metheny who had already heard of his incredible voice by other musicians and shortly thereafter the two meet for a jam where the guitarist offers to produce Noa, the international debut CD which, among other things, contains a superb version of the Ave Maria derived from Bach's prelude. During the nineties, Calling made a courageous polyietnic manifesto together with Rupert Hine. The new CD now was composed together with Gil Dor during pregnancy and the first year of life of his son Ayehli who in Cherokee means "my other wing". The personal Hawk and Sparrow, World Dolly and Motor Lullabies are set up in the cover of Alan Parsons and Beatles. Lokua Kanza among the guests.
