Fergie ‎– The Dutchess CD / Black Eyed Peas

With its coy, playfully sexy lyrics and hyper-melodic hooks, Fergie’s 2006 solo debut, THE DUCHESS, launched the well-traveled Black-Eyed Peas member into pop superstardom. This similarly named EP, appearing two years later, is a mishmash. The four-song release finds the sultry singer (and sometime rapper) exploring her boundaries on a fierce, faithful rendering of Heart’s rock anthem, “Barracuda,” while staying true to what brought her fame on the dance-pop pondering of consumerism, “Labels or Love.”
