Maurice Ulmer ‎– Daddy Still Rocks CD

€4.95

Maurice Ulmer began playing guitar at age 13. During his teenage years up until his early twenties he played in various bands in his hometown of Rock Hill, South Carolina. During his life, he has worked as a draftsman and a pastor. About 5 years ago his interest in music was revived as he began to sing in the church choir. He bought a 30 dollar guitar and began to write music. The early songs were religious in nature; then he began to branch out into other genres of music. After copyrighting over 200 songs with the Library of Congress, he began to write songs that remind those who hear them of music from the 1970's. On this CD Maurice teams up with bass player, Mike Patterson, and drummer, Donovan Rhodes, who provide a solid rythmn section. Dan Lively, of Lively Sound in Lewisburg,WV, handled the recording duties for this collection and offered many helpful suggestions. These songs were recorded 'live' at Dan's place. Which song is your favorite? Maurice currently is a guitar teacher in Covington, Virginia; a substitute teacher in the county school system; and a singer/songwriter. He continues to write songs on a regular basis. Daddy still rocks even after all of these years.
