General Kane ‎– In Full Chill (LP)

General Kane’s In Full Chill (1986) is a standout, transitional electro-funk album led by the late Mitch McDowell. Fusing heavy, minimalist 80s synth-bass with early rap elements, the LP is best known for the socially conscious inner-city track "Crack Killed Applejack," which charted at number 12 despite radio airplay bans.

The record blends deep, mechanical drum programming with Bootsy Collins-inspired "space bass". It captures the gritty, dance-focused post-P-Funk sound of the mid-1980s.
