On his own, Jason sticks closer to country than he does to rock & roll, delving deep into honky tonk and the twang of Bakersfield, turning out a tough but poignant set of stomping, rocking country. A couple of cuts miss the mark, but the best songs on One Foot in the Honky Tonk equal his work with Jason & the Scorchers.
