Sam Tompkins ‎– Who Do You Pray To? (LP Signed, Yellow)

Sam has such a good voice, and he has really picked some great choruses here. In My Life has stellar production, Whole is the perfect example of the great chorus this man has up his sleeve. Bloodline has such amazing writing, and the rockier ending comes out of absolutely nowhere and hits really hard. My Brother was the only track I'd heard prior to this album, with some amazing writing about family yet I'd probably call it one of my least favourites on this album, which is something I wouldn't have expected going into this. Hero is just so delicate and precious.

The Deceiver is the only skip here I'd say, but it's still fine enough. Who Do You Pray To When You Don't Believe In God? is so fragile and really makes you feel for Sam. No track ever really gets boring, it flows all really well with no repetitive themes and the production constantly morphs around each song as it progresses. Amazing lyric writing all around, Sam's vocals constantly shift but never get annoying or strained. I'll definitely keep an eye out for Sam's upcoming work, his latest single out already is really solid too and I hope this is just the start of a promising career ahead. Really glad I checked this out on an impulse, strong recommend!
