Some basic thrashy elements present, but tracks like “Wild Desire” and “Pretty Colours” have that smouldering feel that comes from guitars weaving melodies in minor keys. But it’s the last three tracks where they really nail it, an upredictable triple attack with guitars and melodic bass, “Electric Snake River” the crowning achievement - where else could you find a fusion of motor city madness with South American folk music? Nowhere, I don’t think.
