Little Symphonies’ debut LP We Used To Be Immortal is an emotionally heavy, atmospheric record. Written by Maxim Ventulé and Tom Gudde over two and a half years, the album is a deeply personal exploration of grief and mortality, framed around the loss of Ventulé's mother and his childhood home in Vlissingen, Netherlands.

The record balances profound sadness with eventual hope and processing. Musically, it eschews typical minimalism for a sweeping, grand sonic landscape that critics and listeners liken to an indie-symphonic rock hybrid.
