Blowfly ‎– Forever Fly (12")

Blowfly’s Forever Fly is an unorthodox, "porno-funk" vinyl release.  This limited 1000-copy run honors the late Clarence Reid. The EP is revered for its tactile innovation, featuring a playable etched side and parallel grooves on the reverse that create an unpredictable, choose-your-own-adventure listening experience.

The physical presentation is the main selling point of this EP. Instead of standard pressing, the grooves actually pass through a visually etched image on the vinyl itself. On the reverse side, it features multiple grooves that spiral parallel to each other. This means when you drop the needle, you have a 50/50 chance of landing on an entirely different set of tracks, making every spin an interactive, chaotic event.

Musically, the EP delivers the unfiltered parody, dirty rap, and funk Clarence Reid (aka Blowfly) is famous for. Critics and collectors describe it as the filthiest answer to comedy-funk. The tracklist is playfully divided based on the parallel grooves on the etched side and includes humorous, rapid-fire cuts like "Hole Man," "Hold On," and "Movie Maniac Medley."
