Grammy-nominated remix album with star-studded features! Simply put, Dinner Party is a supergroup of some of the most in-demand hip-hop producers and jazz musicians of our era. For the uninitiated: in addition to their amazing solo works, Terrace Martin, Robert Glasper, and Kamasi Washington were all notably featured as session musicians on Kendrick Lamar’s magnum opus To Pimp A Butterfly, and 9th Wonder has famously produced for the likes of Jay-Z, Destiny’s Child, Kendrick, and Little Brother. While the original Dinner Party project was largely instrumental, Dinner Party - Dessert expands on it with guest verses from Rapsody, Cordae, Tank And The Bangas, Buddy, Malaya, Punch, and Alex Isley. Likewise, the album also features Snoop Dogg as the main MC and jazz legend Herbie Hancock on the track “The Mighty Tree.” These additions result in a more cohesive project that adds further charm and depth to the already incredibly smooth instrumentals.
