The Nomads ‎– The Cold Hard Facts Of Life CD

€12.50

Scandinavia's longest-serving garage-punk export has struck again, and, as expected, hit the nail right in the face. The Swedish cult rockers couldn't have done much wrong with this mini-album, which is available as a 10" for vinyl freaks; after all, all eight compositions on "The Cold Hard Facts Of Life" have long been tested in real-life situations. They are all cover versions of semi- or completely unknown sixties thrashers from beautiful Canada. "Picture My Face" by Teenage Head and the two tracks each by the Ugly Ducklings and The Northwest Company deserve special praise, but even inferior songs in traditional Nomads style are still acceptable. They can rock with irresistible, wild abandon, those old Swedes, who celebrated their 15th band anniversary with a huge party in Stockholm this year. In any case, “The Cold Hard Facts…” is highly recommended as the soundtrack for the next boozy party in Dad’s garage.
